Leaky Gut Syndrome (LGS) indications in the Iris
Radii Solaris in the iris are the strongest indication of LGS. These are found in the zones directly around and radiating outwards from the pupil (above pic) – these zones represent the stomach and intestines (gut) respectively. The intestinal wall being more permeable than it should be (as mentioned above) means that unwanted substances begin to affect the organs and tissues into which they radiate – if radiating into the upper regions of the iris, they can be responsible for headaches/migraines, sinus problems, lack of mental vitality or a strong tendency to worry and even depression; or if radiating into the lower regions of the iris, for instance, they can affect the reproductive organs and create menstrual associated problems.
This recycling of toxins (autointoxication) on a physical level, as represented by the presence of radial furrows, often also signifies (and has its causes in) a tendency for recycling of “toxic” thoughts & emotions. But you can change habitual, negative and self-defeating thoughts into more positive and constructive thinking – taking well-chosen flower essences is one way to assist you to achieve this.
In my practice the radii solaris are treated Naturopathically, their impact is minimised, and the integrity of the gut lining is improved dramatically. Much better health and well-being results.
I typically tell my clients, “If you have raddii solaris in your iris you are generally very socially aware, observant and effective: the radial furrows, like sunrays, represent an openness and receptiveness. However, this ‘sensitivity’ and openness can make you vulnerable to energy drain so you need to develop a strategy of appropriate withdrawal/retreat to help you keep performing with confidence. Your resilience is enhanced by regularly spending time in your own, quiet space. Cherish, enjoy and make room in your life for these little ‘time-outs’ (for meditation, for instance), so you may continue to perform at your optimum.”
WILLOW can be a very useful flower essence here – it represents the up side (the quality of ‘resilience’) and the down side (the tendency to ‘wallow’) of having Radii Solaris.
“The qualities of the water element, which represents emotion are strongly associated with the Willow tree. Unexpressed, suppressed and internalised emotion creates resentment, the key word for Willow flower essence… [But] … Water is also cleansing and Willow flower essence helps cleanse our system of emotions that have become toxic. Willow helps us to assimilate and process painful experiences, preventing us from becoming stuck in the past, wallowing in pain, sadness or grief … Willow helps us to learn resilience, so that we can delve into our history and use the insights we gain to create a better and more joyous future without feeling victimised by the past.”
